How Do I Meet People?

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, our church has small Bible studies, which we call LTN’s – Love Thy Neighbor, held in member homes. The size of the group is usually between six and twelve people. LTN’s are listed below, and can also be found on the informational table in the church foyer.

LTN- Healing the Abortion Wounded Heart

This confidential group uses materials and exercises developed by post-abortive  women to guide abortion wounded women to freedom.   All leaders are either women who have found peace after their own abortion experience or who have felt called by God to minister specifically in this area.  Every woman is guided through their own personal journey to find forgiveness, reconciliation and peace.

Additional info regarding the “Abortion Wounded Heart” LTN can be obtained from leader Germaine Marshall. You can be assured of COMPLETE, TOTAL CONFIDENTIALITY – time and place of meeting will only be known by Germaine and only she will know a person’s private information.

LTN- 633 YOUTH GROUP

The leaders are:  Brian Weller – weller777@aol.com, Cortland Bennett, and Ted Williams. This LTN meets at 6:30 pm EVERY Wednesday at Northwest Park Recreation Center, 5801 22nd Ave. N. in St. Petersburg. The group is geared toward all youth with focus on discipleship, fellowship and sports, and lots of Q & A. See Youth  for  more info.

LTN- SEMINOLE

John Collins, Will & Mylen Hogarth have an LTN at Will and Mai’s house off Starkey Rd at 6:45 pm every other Wednesday. The group consists of friends of Living Hope and the Filipino community. They follow the Acts 2 early church model: Fellowship, Breaking of Bread, Prayer, and Bible Study with emphasis on questions and discussion.

Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction. The children’s ministry of our church is recognized for their meaningful interaction with kids.

Believing that kids don’t have to be adults before they help others, we also plan kids outreaches

throughout the year.  When kids participate in ministry, their own faith grows.

Tweens and young teens 11-14 are welcomed to help in Children’s Church.  The helpers program provides middle schoolers with transition time into adult church, and gives them an opportunity to further develop ministry and leadership skills.

The youth ministry of Living Hope meets on Wednesday nights from 6:33 to 8:30pm.  We meet at

Grace Connection Church, 635 64th St S, Saint Petersburg, Florida.

Our name “633”  comes from Matthew 6:33 where Jesus says to His followers “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.” That is our desire as a ministry to “Seek First the Kingdom of God” in our lives.  Together we are growing in our faith and our relationship with God.  Come and join us as we follow Him.

Our Wednesday meeting starts with sports, pizza and hanging out with friends until 7:25 or so.  Our Bible Study and worship time is from 7:25 until around 8:30pm.

633 Youth go to youth camp in July and to a youth advance in January, besides other special events throughout the year.

Women’s Ministry

Women’s Ministry gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our quarterly women’s meetings are a time of Bible study, prayer, fellowship, assisting with outreach, in a setting that ministers to women in a special way. This ministry also provides discipleship opportunities for the women in the church.  Women’s Bible Study is held on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays. We are currently studying Phil. 4:8. Please call the church office for location information.

Men’s Ministry

We have a great group of men who are passionate about following the Lord Jesus Christ.  We are waiting on God to raise up a man of God to lead a monthly prayer breakfast.

More opportunities are listed in the weekly bulletin available on Sunday  mornings.
