OUR BELIEFS
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” 1 Peter 1:3
We base our philosophy of ministry on the teachings of the Word of God, the Bible. We believe that we ought to live by every word of God, and that the Bible provides answers to every question in life.
Below are the essentials of our Faith that unite us together in Him. We seek to practice Unity in the essentials, Liberty in the non-essentials, and Charity (love) in all things.
Statement of Faith
We believe in:
The only true God, the almighty Creator of all things, existing eternally in three persons– Father, Son, and Holy Spirit–full of love and glory. (Deut. 6: 4; Gen. 1: 1-31; Matt. 28:19; Rev. 4-5)
The unique divine inspiration, entire trustworthiness and authority of the Bible which is God’s Word. (Mt. 4:4, Deut. 8:3, 2 Tim. 3: 16-17; 2 Peter 1: 20-21)
The value and dignity of all people: created in God’s image to live in love and holiness, but alienated from God and each other because of our sin and guilt, and justly subject to God’s wrath. (Gen.1 – 3; Rom. 3: 9-18)
Jesus Christ, fully human and fully divine, who lived as a perfect example, who assumed the judgment due sinners by dying in our place, and who was bodily raised from the dead and ascended as Savior and Lord. (John 10:30; 14; 9, 10; Phil. 2: 5-8; Col. 2:9; Matt. 4; Luke 4; Heb. 4:15; 1 Pet. 3:18; 2 Cor. 5:21; Matt.28:6; Lk. 24:38, 39; Acts 1:9-11)
Justification by God’s grace to all who repent and put their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. (Acts 3:19; 17:30,31; 2 Cor. 7:10; Rom.6:23; Titus 3:5; Eph.2:8, 9)
The indwelling presence and transforming power of the Holy Spirit, who gives to all believers a new life and a new calling to obedient service. (Eph. 1:13-14; Rom.8:9-11)
The unity of all believers in Jesus Christ, manifest in worshiping and witnessing churches making disciples throughout the world. (1 Cor.12:13; Eph. 4:3-6; Acts 2:41-47; Matt 28:18-20)
The existence of spiritual beings known as angels created to worship God and serve Him; that one – highest in rank – sinned through pride, thereby becoming Satan; that a great company of the angels followed him in his rebellion, becoming demons and are active as his agents in opposing God and His people, but have been defeated through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Luke 2:9-14; Hebrews 1:6-7, 14; 2:6-7; Revelation 5:11-14; 19:10; 22:9; Isa. 14:12–17; Ezek. 28:11–19; 1 Tim. 3:6; 2 Pet. 2:4; Jude 6; Rev.12:1-6; Rom.16:20).
The victorious reign and future personal return of Jesus Christ, who will judge all people with justice and mercy, giving over the unrepentant to eternal condemnation, but receiving the redeemed into eternal life. (Matt. 24:30; Rev. 20:1-7; Matt. 25:31-46; Dan.12:2; John 5:29; Rev. 20:13-15; John 6:39; Rom. 8:10-11, 19-23)
To God be glory forever (Rom.11:36)
For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.
