Outreach Evangelism
Every 4th Saturday we meet for outreach.
We have gone to Madeira Beach, Clearwater Beach, Largo Park and Tyrone Mall to creatively and prayerfully share the good news of God’s love. We offer prayer and encouragement for anyone who needs some heavenly support.
Prayer Ministry
Prayer may be the very thing you need now. We feel prayer, in addition to the preaching of the Bible, is the most valuable offer we can present to you right here. We’d LOVE to pray for you, your family, any needs, any cries of your heart. It will be a great privilege to stand with you in this way and support you by bringing your needs to the throne of our God and King.

We believe we are all called to participate in evangelizing the world through the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Acts 1:8).

Gert’s Kitchen

Gert’s Kitchen helps people of Pinellas County who have temporary needs for food. We help during times of crisis and during times of need with practical assistance such as grocery store vouchers so that families can buy the things they need like fresh produce, laundry items, paper goods etc. rather than just resorting to canned donations. Other times we might provide meals to those who have a temporary need or we co-minister with other outreaches to host holiday season events in lower income areas.
Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to other nations. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries including outreaches, children’s ministries, youth ministries, missions and more!
Greeters
Greeters welcome those coming into the church, hand out the bulletin, answer first time visitors’ questions, provide information to parents about Children’s Church sign-in, time and place, and in general make everyone feel welcome. They have the unique opportunity to speak with every person in church! They take turns so that they are on duty once a month or as often as desired.
Stage Crew
Members of this ministry prepare the stage for services, making sure everything needed is there when it’s needed, from the pulpit, microphones, props, cables, water for the speaker, etc.
Office
If you have a gift in administration and thrive on details and paperwork, you can be of huge help with various weekly, monthly or occasional projects.
Transportation
Some members need rides to church and events. What a way to get to know others! We are also praying for a van to be donated to our church.
Special Events Committee
This crucial ministry helps with events and when there are church members in need, such as in time of sickness or hospitalization. You can help as often or as infrequently as your schedule allows.
Mission Outreach
Wind and Word Life House is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in supporting missionaries with our money and with our prayers. Each year, we pray about sending our youth and adults to one of the mission countries we support to assist our missionaries in practical projects and evangelistic outreach. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, to a foreign country or to minister in our own community.
Worship Ministry Teams
God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.
Ushers
The usher team at our church fills an important role. Ushers help visitors, hand visitor packets, help find seats, answer questions, provide direction. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is very important at Wind and Word.
Media & Technology
Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. The A/V team takes care of setting up sound, sound checks, recording, song lyrics overhead feed, church website with weekly sermon uploads. We also maintain an active Facebook Page for weekly church communication.
Prayer Warriors
Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, a team of volunteers meets to pray for the ministry of the Word. Prayer Meeting is held each Tuesday at 7 pm. Throughout the week, volunteers pray for our leadership, church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs.
